As every year, the Higher School of Commercial Management and Marketing (ESIC, for its acronym in Spanish) recognizes and awards the Aster Awards to the best professional profiles and companies according to the merits and achievements in their activity.
On November 30 of this year, the awards ceremony was held at the ESIC Seville facilities. In the category of Best Entrepreneur, ESIC has distinguished the Sevillan Hector Garcia and Alberto Asuero, CEO and CTO of Geographica respectively. Making the data count is the motto that both carry by flag and that from Geographica we echo.
Every day we create customized solutions to improve the performance, efficiency and effectiveness of companies and institutions such as Telefónica, Vodafone, Cepsa, El Corte Ingles, etc. Applying Location Intelligence technologies, they get a lot of relevant information in real time. This is synthesize in a unique dashboard adapted to each company for the consequent decision making of the same. Located in front of the Benito Villamarín stadium, we have tripled our workforce in the last 3 years and we love making Seville a leading site in Spain and the world at a technological level.
After a video presentation, the two winners took the stage, while throwing balls to the audience. The Deputy Mayor and Human Resources Delegate of the Macarena district of the Seville City Council, Mrs. Clara Isabel Macias Morilla, presented the award. In his speech, Alberto and Hector made everyone present understand the importance of the data through a series of questions that made all the participants participate:
“Let those who think that from here you can make cutting-edge technology for the whole world raise their hands; Who has Google Maps, Cabify, Uber, Whatsapp, Facebook … on the mobile ?; Let those who have used a map raise their hands in the last 24 hours. “
Almost all the attendees raised their hands on all these questions, making known in this way what Geographica is dedicated to.

Prodiel, one of the best companies in the world for the construction of photovoltaic parks, has been awarded the Aster Prize for Business in Andalusia. Aussa, company that manages car parks in more than ten cities, has received the award for Digital Innovation.
An act full of technology, companies that lead Seville to take a relevant position in innovation and a new generation of ESIC students that will be part of the transformation of Seville and the world. Thank you very much to ESIC for this special recognition!
